Qualification

The six highest-ranked member nations within Alliance Rugby automatically qualified for the Championship. However, the 5th and 6th-ranked nations in this event (Siculia and Teiko) were subjected to a Promotion/Relegation Series against the two highest-ranked nations in the 2017 AIN Rugby Challenge. They both retained their positions for the 2018 Championship after winning this series on aggregate.
