There is 18 days remaining to bid for the Winter Games.

The AGF is concerned that the V Alliance Winter Games will be canceled if no nation bids.

(People often complain that nothing ever happens in the Alliance, how bout you put your money where your mouth is and do something interesting and out of the ordinary and bid to host one of the great events of the Alliance Calendar!)

The AGF hopes that this will not have to occur. It would surely be a very poor state of affairs if cancellation were to happen and the AGF hopes that it doesn't come to that!

Jo
AGF Commissioner.

The infrastructure in Saint Vincent is still available if need be. That being said, at such short notice it would be a very bare bones affair. Extremely basic opening/closing ceremonies and very limited accommodation for guests. The island would be able to handle 10,000 additional people at this time of year. The last games were intricately planned and executed with massive expense, which is why they were as big as they were. We cannot guarantee anything like the last ones, but if it means saving the Games from cancellation, Arcacia once again offers Saint Vincent as host.

In Fairview we are also available but our ski stations are too small and don't have capacity for everyone. Although, there is no snow. There haven't been clouds in the sky for about 4 weeks... and the forecasts maintain this weather

If there are no Bidders then the AGF will initiate proceedings to have Saint Vincent to host the games again.

I think it would be a massive shame and embarrassment if nobody submitted a bid. People complain about roleplay and activity constantly, but don't contribute when events are planned. It's not too much work and if everyone contributed then we could have brilliant events and a superb Alliance Winter Games.

I'd bid without a second thought but I have nothing to bid with for a Winter Games, none of my sidenations/dependencies have cold enough climates, and the only one that kinda does is too small. Besides, in my main nation, it's summer right now :\
A quiet one...

I politely request that cold climate members should think in bidding to this event. Would be a shame, if there weren't bids. Please...

It's still snowing in Corraile, but the problem is that we don't have the facilities to host an adequate Winter Games. Our facilities are not up to scale with what is needed. Apologies

It snows in Linktoria, but as you know my mountains aren't Simylmpic material. Sorry.

EDIT: But I could give it a chance. ;)
