Escambia is doomed...

Or is it? Maybe the Goliath will be beaten? :o

Highly doubt you're doomed if you made it all the way to final :p

Escambia is a big soccer superpower as is K&B. Should be a good contest. Also whats the date for this?

That's what I thought in the beginning of the semi-final against K&B. ;)

[spoiler]Whew. What a roller coaster that was. I am deeply sorry if i have broken your heart, but i have not made up the scores. It is all simulated and well, and apparently i have been able to defend my title. I'm actually some sort of ashamed that I have done it, despite my best efforts to weaken my team.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed creating these play-by-play commentaries. Some games show significant similarities to the FIFA World Cup last year, but that is just because i was only given the scores and had to create the game action around that score. So forgive me the similarities.

Anyways. A massive thank you goes, again, to Nate Saathoff for creating all those Jerseys. Thank you also to Charlie for those flagicon balls. And Thank you to everyone else who took the time to read it, to comment on it, and to dispute about it.

Next year's world cup will be staged in either Europe, Asia or Africa/Atlantic continent. So prepare your countries, Bidding will open in October.

Next year, I won't win. Promised.

Take care, Otto

Ha! If we don't get to defeat K&B, no one does!

Nice sporting match. ;) For now.

i do agree Nat, new teams are required for next year's world cup. it is a bit awkward when you simulate it and see your team win it all year after year.

I'm thinking about creating entire teams for next year, teams totally from scratch, hopefully that'll bring a change to this.

Congratulations to Kingston and Boyce, and particularly to Otto and Nate and Charlie and anyone else who had a role in putting this World Cup together. Brilliant work, guys. :)
