Of course, i'm jealous. I was quite close to bringing it home another time until the almost very end. It's not a secret that i participate to win and not to finish second.. so, yes i am jealous, but i called it a few months ago. Khaled had the potential to win it, and the song did. Congratulations Emir, after our presidential battle, you managed to beat me again... :P

Yeah I figured SCX would win this one as soon as he posted the song, since it has broad appeal. You don't need to get the most 12 pointers to win, you just need to be really consistent with the top 5 votes. Plus my gut feeling has never been wrong about this, it correctly picked K&B, NWF & now SCX as the winners.

I would have loved to get 2nd place though, it's the best possible spot without having to host it again. :P Not that it wasn't great to host, it's just quite a bit of work - work that is best shared around as much as possible.

Emir wrote:THAT IS... a fantastic idea. D: Thanks, Otto, I will make sure to commence the event with the Internationale.

Don't do it Otto, it's a trap! The Communists will have them executed if they make even the smallest mistake singing it.

daTS wrote:Well, we didn't win, but we did get voted on top by more nations than anyone else (We were voted top by 3 nations). I'd say that's a plus. Good job Emir and Sainte-Croix!

Yeah I didn't even get a single 10 pointer, :( which is very disappointing as I felt I had a pretty solid song. :envy: Oka recognized us with an 8 pointer at least, much love for Oka. :inlove: :D But as I said to Otto, it's not really about getting the most 12-pointers, it's more about being consistent. I don't mean to kill the silver-lining for you though, just an observation. :P

Yes  even though we don't have the death penalty, we have due process and we weren't even planning to sing it...

Congrats to @Emir!

This honestly gets more frustrating every time.

Kevin, we're both in the same boat. :P

I'm happy that Cattala did better this time round but I thought both this song and last year's one were strong. Sainte-Croix was always the favourite. If I'm still around at the next contest, I already have a song up my sleeve that I think will do well - which I've never had before. I usually have to look for them quite actively which obviously isn't working!

Lol, well you two have both hosted it before, so you'll always have that. :P Plus you got some pretty good results this time Thomas (best me by one spot will you! :envy: :D), Kevin well...keep trying, next AINVision everyone starts at zero again. And I would certainly hope your still around for next time Thomas.

Personally I'm really surprised Lower Columbia's & Okatabawashi's songs didn't do better. But I guess everything thinks the songs they like are going to do well. :mm:

That was, to put it into context, Cattala's second-worst result ever. :P

Coincidentally our second worst too. I'm really surprised it didn't go well, especially seeing the way the votes went.

Thomas and Kevin: SC gave both of you fools' nations high points, so at least be grateful for that. :P

my first result was a tie for third. However, Neu Westfalen defeats us all by winning upon debut... :envy:
