The Eighth General Election is now over and all that is left for me to do is announce the winners. Thank you to all those who voted and for the participation of those running for ministerial and executive positions. You were all very good candidates during this election!

It's my privilege to introduce to you the five new Ministers of the Union, all of whom now have specialised responsibilities stretching from roleplay to events and ensuring the union's functions and facilities are run properly and efficiently.

The Eighth Executive Council will serve from midnight tonight until the 1st of March 2014. The duties of the President and Vice President are extensive and of all the members in this union, they have the greatest influence and responsibilities. It's an honour and a privilege to serve on any Executive Council and I'm sure our new government will dedicate itself wholeheartedly to serving the union day in, day out. They're all experienced leaders and I'm sure that the union will continue to develop along the correct path as we move forward.

A new temporary administrator and a new temporary moderator, to fill the roles of Zack and Cons respectively, will be selected in due course. All new groupings, colours and permissions will be granted in the morning.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Otto and Greg who have not sought re-election after serving a term in office. We thank you for your work in ensuring this union is fun, active and healthy community. Without your contribution to such events like AINVision, Capital of Culture, the Jowoon Programme and the ever-popular "Tallest Structures" list, wouldn't have been as successful as they are, or even have happened at all. You have laid the foundations for your successors to continue to develop this union, so thank you for that.

And of course a huge thanks to our outgoing Vice President, Ace. You've led the way in ensuring a balanced, fair government and having worked with you since you took over the office I know how much of a dedication you have to this Alliance and to its members. Your maturity, commitment and calm face when confronted with trouble is a testament to you and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say best of luck with the next stage of your Simcity Journey, and your real life journey as well.

All that is left for me to say now is good luck to the new government, and here's to another successful six months! :)

Well... AINSI Commissioner isn't really a full minister portfolio. :P After all, the position is accountable to the Finance & Information Minister...
