Application: Tochira Park Project

Post by BoeingCity » February 3rd 2013, 5:28 am

Project: Tochira Park (土地ラ·パーク)
Type (can be more than one): Environment
Cost (USD): $4,566,629,060 (S¥423,737,510,477)
Description: Land along the coast of Engatoshi will be reclaimed in order to build a 6-acre coastal park for public use. Instead of planting natural grown grass, which could take longer to grow, construction workers will be using artificial turf. A few playgrounds and restrooms will be built for public use also.
Reason: This is in spite of Engatoshi's efforts to help the environment in the city, and also help with healthy living.
Benefit: This could mean fewer pollution in the city, and make the residents in Engatoshi more active and take a nice view of the ocean at sunset. There will also be places for you to run or jog to get your daily exercise needs.
Pictures (optional): Image

All marine life will be moved to the nearby Akihiko-Engatoshi Coastal Reserve where their habitats are still the same, and they can swim safer than the land being reclaimed.

The Ministry is very happy to see an application and will wait for anyone to comment if needed. It all looks good to me!

...Move marine life? How are you going to force fish and stuff to move without killing them?
Also, a park has low-value. Wouldn't land reclamation be highly expensive just to build a park?

Beaches have high levels of tourist and coastal defence value - what does this park contribute to the economy of Shihaisha?

This park is not meant for high levels of tourism, which is what Hikaiko Park on the other side of Engatoshi is meant for. This is just for peaceful relaxation or exercise for residents, thus meaning healthier lives.
