Shiroku Expo 2012 | CLOSING CEREMONY

It's December 22, 2012, in Shiroku as of now. Sadly, this means the closing ceremony for the Expo must begin. It was a pleasure seeing all of the foreign visitors and representatives visiting the EXPO Center. We've had a huge increase of tourism and we hope that you all can come to see the country again! Hawaiian Airlines Flight 465 from Honolulu has just landed. It is a charter flight that will soon carry many Hawaiians that had won tickets to the Expo on their way out. It will be parked at Terminal 2.

Other flights have landed already and are getting prepared for passengers on their way home. Although jets are getting fueled and prepared at the airport, thousands of visitors are still enjoying what's being planned for the closing ceremony. There are currently wine tastings, dance parties, and many more fun things to do! Most people however are already filling up the EXPO Dome and the EXPO Arena to see the celebrations and summary-projection of the entire event. It is planned to happen in just a few minutes so let's------------------- --- - - - .. .

The Government of Shihaisha is horrified and in mourning at the event. These explosions have called for all airports, rail routes, and bus networks to be shut down until further notice. Shiroku has been evacuated for safety of all its residents. Airspace around mainland Shihaisha has been suspended, although airspace is only restricted in Hazoku Island.

The fires have been put out, and we are now sending investigators and police out to the scene. We are having theories about terrorist attacks or yet another gas leak, but we can not confirm anything yet. Please stay tuned.

Well it was a largely unsuccessful Expo anyway. Perhaps some explosives were required earlier to get people to bother to join in.

Today, Christmas, investigations are still going on. Shihaisha is having many memorials to all tourists and representatives that may have died at both of the pavilions. Shihaisha has heard about the recent bombings of Mangdu & Nanningin Kaisan and Super Sunday in the RIF. Until now, the government has thought of the explosions as coincidental explosions from possible gas leaks due to the gas leak at nearby Shiroku University. Today, investigators and police have found explosives and surprisingly a Santa hat that must have blown off from a fleeing tourist at the site of the Arena. The Dome has yet to find any further information.

Hiigara is shocked by the attack and we see that the Union security services failed to protect the delegations and failure of the investigation of terrorist activity in AIN.

Queensland Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

Her Majesty's Commonwealth government in Queensland requests copies of all inquiry/investigation reports, made by the government of Shihaisha until now, to be sent to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Brisbane. Ticketing information, venue security information, transportation information for 21 December, and information on the number of Queenslanders who were attending the venues at that time, as well as the number of Queenslander casualties in the incident (if any) are also requested to be sent to the department.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade will have a press conference in Brisbane today, and arrive in the city of Shiroku as soon as possible, to meet with delegates of the government of Shihaisha. This is a very serious incident that might result in the severing of diplomatic relations between Queensland and Shihaisha. Although this is highly unlikely, it is indeed a possibility. To prevent this from happening, we urge the government of Shihaisha to complete the steps above.

Her Majesty's Commonwealth government in Queensland would like to thank the government of Shihaisha for cooperation, along with sending condolences to victims and their families, and hopes that officials in Shihaisha will prevent incidents like this in the future.

Why would you sever diplomatic ties over something that seems to have been out of their control?
I would expect it wiser to condemn the violence and send police investigators over to assist in the investigation if any Queenslanders died in the incident.

It's "highly unlikely". Meaning there's very little chance of it happening... that is, if Shihaisha doesn't comply and denies Queensland's request to see the information and the casualties. Then the QLD gov't assumes the worst, and thinks the incident was deliberate, and done by the Shihaisha government. By sending the inquiry reports, Shihaisha not only cooperates but also provides information on the causes of the incident. In that case, the government of Shihaisha is cleared of accusations of involvement and diplomatic ties are no longer at risk. QLD wouldn't cut relations without reason.

And a possible police investigation is precisely the reason why Queensland requests the said information from Shihaisha. Because we first need to determine whether there were any Queenslander casualties, if there were even any Queenslanders in the affected venues in the first place. If not, there's no reason for Queensland to send investigators (unless requested by Shihaisha), since QLD's main interest in this incident is to protect Queenslander lives. The information sent by Shihaisha will allow investigators in Brisbane to determine whether there were any Queenslanders who were present in the stadium, and/or QLD casualties.

Hope that clears things up...

The Public Safety Board of Shihaisha has just sent any helpful information to Brisbane. There have been no reported Queensland fatalities. We are working hard on investigating further. On the other hand however, more clues have been found at the Dome and Arena. Bombs have now been confirmed to be the cause of the explosions. At the Vdara Shihaisha, which is on EXPO grounds, an empty room has been found with luggage and clothes meaning there was someone staying there. Employees at the hotel don't recall anybody checking out that day. There was a Do not Disturb sign on the door, and police are now investigating the room for any further clues.

Her Majesty's Commonwealth government in Queensland thanks the government of Shihaisha for sending this information. Investigators and/or rescue & assessment teams will be sent to Shiroku upon request from the government of Shihaisha (if the Shihaisha government would like these services).
