Shihaisha | AIN Expo 2012 Bid

This is the bid from the Republic of Shihaisha to host the AIN Autumn Expo 2012.

Image

Shihaisha should be the host country of the Expo because it's not as big, busy, or loud as some other countries. It is only home to 2,803,207 people. Although it's small, Shihaisha has potential to still become a successful country. The Government of Shihaisha has chosen the somewhat affluent city of Shiroku to house the Expo Center. It is built along a very narrow river, so it may not have all the fun, boat rides in the ocean, but Shihaisha believes that the city is the landmark. Shiroku has many towering condos and residences, and has many high-class shops and malls. The Japanese culture of castles, palaces, and shrines have mixed with the American ways of growing businesses and busy streets.

The Shiroku Recreational Center, or as locals refer to it, the Expo Center, will be where the Shiroku Expo 2012 will be held. It will hold 4 main pavilions based on presentations, and not by states. Shihaisha believes that by grouping presentation subjects, visitors can see what they want to see in a less amount of time. They also say that it will help the unions make greater relations. Also in the Expo Center are 3 cheap to medium priced, high-class hotels.

The Cultural Pavilion is where all participating states will showcase their cultures and religions. States can show how their religions work and how they started.

Image
On the left is the Art Pavilion. This is where all participating states will show off their best products and artworks. Participating states can also present what they plan on designing for public purposes, such as planes or structures.
On the right is the Culinary Pavilion. The Culinary Pavilion has plenty of kitchens and fridges for states to store and make their own foods. When ready, the foods will be presented to many visitors to see what types of food they like, and how they make them.

Image
The Historical Pavilion is the most expensive and important pavilion in the entire Expo Center. This pavilion is where states can tell and present to visitors about their history. This is where many visitors should see first, as it can help them understand a little more why they chose their culture to be like what it's like, or cook certain types of food.

Image
The last on the list is Hirosaki Field. It takes up 72% of the area of Expo Center, and is mainly brick walkways and open grass fields. If any nation decides to present any additional information to visitors, they can set up tents in Hirosaki Field for visitors to look at and enjoy.

There are many ways of transportation in Shiroku. Shuttles, taxis, trains, and subways are the main ways of transportation. Shihaisha's only airport, Shiroku International, is located only 25 km from the Expo Center. Airport shuttles and taxis will service the airport from 5 AM - 11 PM. Although Shiroku Intl. is quite cramped, some airlines have announced no service during the duration of the Expo, as to provide gate room.

The government has chosen the most preferred way of transportation from the airport to the Expo Center, and in surrounding areas. Shuttles and taxis will face the possible rush hour road traffic, although they can carry your luggage easily. Subway is the fastest way around the city, although there are no connections to Nochi and capital Shisaido, and luggage is not permitted. The Sakura Rail is the best way to reach the Expo Center, surrounding area, and airport. Usually, only 1 luggage can be carried per passenger, although during the Expo, 2 charter trains will service passengers with plenty of luggage for an extra fee. Chokosobiru-gai Station is the closest stop to the entrance of the Expo Center.

There are many accommodations in Shihaisha. 45% of which are located in Shiroku. Although there are plenty of places to stay in Shiroku, the government has chosen some of the best places to stay during the Expo. Many hotels are temporarily lowering their prices a bit for the Expo.

Image
The Vdara Shiroku is a high-class, medium to high priced hotel. It is located in the Expo Center, so visitors have easy access to the field and pavilions. Vdara is providing a free shuttle to and from the airport and Downtown Nochi. All rooms are suites and have very great conveniences. Each suite has 1-2 king sized bed, depending on where in the structure it is. In the lobby and 2nd floor are famous trademark stores like M-A-C, Sephora, Apple, and Gucci.

The Shihai Hotel is a medium-class, medium priced hotel. The hotel is among the tallest buildings in all of Shihaisha. Rooms have 1 queen sized bed and a flat-screen TV. Views range from forests to cities like Nochi and Shisaido. This is really recommended for visitors that don't want to pay big fees, but like a little space.

Shiroku is the place, so what are you waiting for?

Very nice, strong bid we've got here, and it's great to see a new member wanting to get involved in events too. What's the weather like in Shiroku this time of year? I don't want the Pavillion crew getting wet/snowed on...

Typhoon Nohakai just struck, but it can just get chilly usually, and if there is rain or snow, it will be very mild.
