Name of Nation: Lovedelund
Location of airport: Kirkebakken
Name of airport: Kirkebakken/ Venstrebro International Airport
Brief History: Kirkebakken Regional Airport was first founded in 1950 as part of the reconstruction period of post-WWII. The airport was located on the grounds of Kaernijsdrommen, a 17th century mansion belonging to the Kaernij Family. which was destroyed in the war. The airport served the North Atlantic region with several transcontinential routes until the late 1980's when a growing global market necessitated the construction of a new, larger airport. Thus, Kirkebakken International Airport was opened in 1991 as a completely new structure on the old land. In April 2013, a ground-breaking ceremony was held to begin construction of a LDK 4.3 billion extension to serve even more flights. The new airport would be able to bring even more wealth into Lovedelund's ever growing economy.

It's a fantastic facility, and airport as a whole. Whilst it competes with Dublin in European airport rankings, I think it will overtake it eventually with continuing improvements going on.
