Euler Diagram of Alliance Members

Post by Michael » April 6th 2017, 9:26 pm

So inspired by this version of EU supranational bodies, I decided to create a version for the Alliance linking Alliance and real-world blocs together in a somewhat simple diagram.
Any errors - please point out!

Just an observation - I don't think Illium would be in the Pacific Island Forum if Jarraban isn't either. Being in the Indian Ocean and all :P

Other than that, outstanding work, Michael!

Should I also bring up the African Union with Nyanga? :P

With Illium, i spoke to Anthony on Skype to ask him about what the country would be in and those were the two things he said to me. :)
I was thinking about Nyanja but since it made no mention of the AU on its wiki page I decided to leave it. just found out that it joined in 200, so yes, I'll be adding it.

"Trans-Tasman" strictly refers to the Australia/NZ relationship. Given other countries are involved in the travel arrangement, I think a different name might be appropriate. "Oceanian Travel Arrangement" perhaps?

Hmm, what about the "Southern Cross Travel Agreement?" Or the "Southern Cross Alliance". Which would make up all current trans-Tasman members and Illium! :P

That brings up another group - ANZUS treaty, which currently has Australia, NZ and the States. I'd assume ND, Torainn and Jarraban would be in that group too, and probably be called the "Oceania Group" or something along those lines.

Looking good! I'm guessing the "Oceania Group" wouldn't apply? (ANZUS) That would definitely stir things up a bit with Aus, NZL, NDL, TRN, JRB and the US.

Also just noticing now, would our other South American nations be included in Mercosul and UNASUL? (Siculia & W&F)
And realistically even, Marquette should be in the NAFTA too.

I tried to fix that up, but as you imagine it would have become very difficult to do.

Even though these nation make no reference to these I'll add them and remove later if they dispute. :)

for the regions of Australasia and the south west pacific perhaps the name Association of Australasian members. The term Australasia encompasses the continent of Australia but also Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and the island nations of the pacific. Just a thought.
