Sorry Ying, I'm not meant to be here at all, so bear with me. :P

I really don't like the names and strokes at the moment. I'd like to make a version like the wikipedia map this was based off, then I'll attempt at making one more informative and in a different style.

At the moment, I'll just make a list of things that I (or someone else) need to fix:
  • Valencia - shape and wrong tool
  • Ascadylea and Galbadia - names and wrong tool
  • Leeonia - wrong tool
  • Karasem - wrong tool
  • Okatabawashi - wrong tool
  • Asgard - shape
  • Calare - shape and wrong tool
  • New Holland/New Duveland - shape and tool
  • Melanesia - wrong tool
  • Goverland - wrong tool
Thanks for all the work you've all put in!

How can it be wrong tool when I've used a pencil for EVERY country Will? and the Shape of nations is fine, apart from Calare which I accept is wrong, but the shape of every nation is fine because that is how it was, but as Zack said, it's the wrong form of map before and it's hard to scale nations to that.

And I know what you want for the map with the clean look, but I really must disagree in what you want and we should ONLY have an informative one.

Sorry for the DP.

Date: 4 November 2013
Changes made: Added Neu Westfalen, Lovedelund and a Histalian dependency, won't add anything more on what Will says until Zack agrees with any of them.

I'm sorry but at the moment the map is rather well... unsightly and messy, in my opinion. I can also tell the wrong tool has been used from looking at the map from afar. As I said, I'll fix it, you'll just have to wait.

That's fine Will...but I still don't get what you mean that the wrong tool being used? And also, you can change the font size and the font colour, but as it is, I believe a majority of people won't mind it.

Also can we open this up for all members of AIN as well as I feel this is a bit too secretive because it's being pushed away from all other members, they should be able to edit it as well surely.

Mercator Projection is so deplorable. But oh well I wasn't here to oppose it with my blood when it passed into legislation. Also, is the Cartographic Committee under reform or something? Though I'd love to participate, I don't recall where I've been officially informed I am part of this...

You're on the committee because you're the Minister of Finance and Information, who is always a committee member. I'm technically not on it anymore because I'm no longer president, but oh well. :P
Feel brand new. Be inspired.

I know it's meant to be Mercator, but I've started afresh with a new map. It isn't finished yet, but I thought that I should share it.

Any opinions are appreciated. :)

The main purpose of the Alliance Cartography Act was to transition the map to Mercator Projection. While this map looks nice Will, I imagine it is only temporary?

Well, I've fallen out of favour with the mercator projection. I think this map will work for wiki purposes (it's the same as the map used for the UN article). The dots must also be kept on, or else it would show that the AIN doesn't recognise them as sovereign states.

Thanks for all the comments. :)

I'm not a fan of the dots. And they aren't all sovereign states - the Falklands is on there, as are the other British Overseas Territories, and presumably the Dutch and French ones too.

It's a rather small resolution too.
